2 hour tour in a van of the 1000+ acre refuge in Gautier, MS. Saw 13 of the 150 Cranes on the refuge. The tour was interesting and informative. There are nature trails to walk/hike also.

Wonderful place to learn and take in nature's beauty... A long stay or a quick 20-minute rest stop off of the interstate. Worth a stop.
Note: there is no exiting the van during the tour.
I can't wait to go back in the spring. Several trails to enjoy. A nice and educational visitors center. Overall a gem.
Free fun afternoon. Picnic tables make for a nice lunch spot after a trail walk. The indoor area is great for kids. Chalk on the patio, color a picture, pictures and button info. Clean bathroom, with changing table. Going back again.
